Contentment, Courage
and Calling

On Saturday, March 24th, I spoke in Bath, Maine at a conference for women. The theme was "Contentment, Courage and Calling."

Ladies were in attendance from over a dozen towns, including Bath, Brunswick Bowdoinham, Buxton, Gorham, Harrison, Hollis Center, Phippsburg, Lisbon, Livermore, New Gloucester, Orrs Island, Richmond, Standish, Steep Falls, Topsham, Windham and Woolwich.

First Baptist Church of Bath hosted the event. Men from the church helped with the brunch and two young adults led worship to open the conference.

The verse of the day was taken from Philippians 4:11, 12 - "I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.  I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need."

We also pondered Psalm 92:12-14 and how to grow straight & tall with deep roots and a fresh fragrance in our lives.

"The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,
they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
planted in the house of the LORD,
they will flourish in the courts of our God.
They will still bear fruit in old age,
they will stay fresh and green,
proclaiming, “The LORD is upright;
He is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”
