The Miracle of Life and knit them together in my mother's womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous and how well I know it. You were there while I was being formed in utter seclusion!" Psalm 139:13-15 Mike and I are enjoying the miracle of life in our home. Every time we hold our precious grandson, we are in awe of God's greatness. In the United States of America, over 50 million babies have been unjustly murdered in the womb, legally, since 1973. This is of great concern, not only because it's grossly immoral, but now the country is paying the price socially and economically. America used to have three workers for every retiree. Now, there are three retirees for every worker. Abortion has killed off a great number of people who would be contributing to society in many ways. When man takes matters into his own hands, and tries to "fix" his problems, he usually just creates more problems. Proverbs 3:5, 6 reads, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." Abortion does not solve problems, but it does create guilt for those involved. And it's a decision that cannot be reversed, once it's done. However, all of our mistakes and sins can be forgiven, if we'll only humble ourselves, and ask Jesus to forgive us, making us pure and clean, innocent again, as children of God. When we follow God's path, instead of our own, He will bless and direct us. He won't necessarily make our lives easy, but He will walk through the "fires" of life with us. Isaiah 45:2, 3 promises "When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up - the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, your Savior..." He will see us through and give us peace that is beyond all understanding. The Living Bible says, "Always be full of joy in the Lord; I say it again, rejoice! Let everyone see that you are unselfish and considerate in all you do. Remember that the Lord is coming soon. Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don't forget to thank Him for for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4-8 Mike and I care so deeply about life, that we visited a university campus recently, passing out brochures and engaging students on the issue of life vs. abortion. Some students on university campuses have never considered that abortion is murder. But after seeing graphic images that cannot be ignored, many are convinced that the fetus in the womb is a real, live baby.Being confronted with the actual aborted baby images, is a powerful way to convey the unborn baby's perspective. Students today are lied to, by adults, telling them that the baby in the womb is merely tissue. I've also heard fetuses compared to cancer, that needs to be eradicated from the woman's body. After just witnessing our first grandchild born, this year, I can testify that he is the opposite of cancer - he is a unique and precious boy with a special calling and purpose for his life. Psalm 82:4 says "Rescue the poor and helpless; deliver them from the grasp of evil people." We are pleased to work with the Genocide Awareness Project(GAP) to promote life. Please consider what you can do to rescue the helpless. Mike and I are committed to sharing biblical truth in love, wherever we go. We appreciate your prayers and support.
