While in Papua New Guinea on a mission trip last fall, my fellow worship leader & sister in Christ, Belinda Kuhn, suggested we write a song together. This song would be a testimony to God's presence while there. We ministered to and alongside, almost 100 missionary ladies and Christian volunteers. Psalm 139 had been my key verse for the trip, and with that, God gave us this song.
May it bless you, this day.
Carry Me
By Belinda Kuhn & Paulie Heath
Verse 1.
When I rise on the wings of the dawn
in the uttermost parts of the sea,
on the islands I’ll praise You with new songs,
as Your glory brings me to my knees.
CHORUS
Carry me…Carry me…
Here in the depths of the sea.
Carry me…Carry me…
Safe with You I'll always be.
Verse 2.
Where can I go from Your Spirit,
when tossed by dark storms of the night?
I trust you to hold me close, in Your arms,
and carry me to morning’s light.
CHORUS
Carry me...Carry me....
Here in the depths of the sea...
Carry me...Carry me.....
Safe with You I'll always be.
May it bless you, this day.
