HAPPY Autumn!
I am thrilled to report that all extra funds needed for PNG mission trip have come in since last week. God is so faithful! (have I said that before?!)
Now, I am focusing on prayer. Specifically - for God's will to be done before, during and after the Thrive retreat. I was just thinking today, so many unexpected, unique "God things" happen on our mission trips. Some of them life-changing. I want to be sensitive to hear, see and experience His perfect will in the ordinary and extraordinary. Thanks for praying with me, for the attendees, the volunteers, and the Thrive Ministry staff.
Speaking of retreats, we had a very special Girls Getaway last weekend. God showed up! We had a wonderful time of sharing and prayer for one another. And now, we can all keep each other in prayer, just as Paul, the Apostle did with the New Testament churches. It's such a blessing to be part of God's family.
One lady wrote this: "I had such a wonderful, peaceful, Spirit-filled time on this much needed time away. Thank you, Paulie, for hosting this lovely event; and thank you to Dave and Pam for their vision for this place and their loving, generous hearts. Already planning for next year~"
SAVE THE DATE: September 14, 2018 Girls Getaway
Another attendee wrote: "Thank you so much for the work you did to put together this weekend. It was very much appreciated! It was great to have an opportunity to worship in song, and to share and pray with one another. I enjoyed seeing you and Pam again, and meeting everyone."
Some of us, at the retreat, are experiencing a season of change in our lives - change of ministry, change of career or retirement, change of lifestyle after grown children move out, or other changes along the journey. We were able to support and pray with one another about these important seasons.
Here is a hopeful Psalm for those who are waiting for the harvest in their life:
"Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.
Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them."
Psalm 126:5-6
Harvest is coming!
May you be blessed as you hope in Jesus,
Paulie
