The further along life's journey, the more I realize how important children are in God’s plan. Jesus knew this, when He told His disciples, “Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto Me: for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.” Matthew 19:13
During Jesus’ ministry on earth, He made very clear, the requirements for participation in the Kingdom of Heaven. When asked who is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven, Jesus set a little child in the midst of them, and said, “Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in My name receiveth Me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” Matthew 18:3-6
Jesus went on to lament the sin of the world, recognizing the necessity of the offenses, and stating, “woe to that man” who commits the offenses. He warned that it is better to cut off your hand than keep sinning with it. Or pluck out your eye, rather than being cast into hell with both eyes, if the eye offends.
Then Jesus continued teaching about the children, when He stated, “Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, that in heaven their angels do always behold the face of My Father, which is in heaven. For the Son of Man is come to save that which was lost.” Mt. 18:10
I believe there is a special place in Heaven for the precious children; and their angels have the privilege of beholding God’s face! The mysteries of God are often beyond our scope of understanding, but in faith, we believe His Word is true. We simply believe.
Upon becoming grandparents for the first time, six years ago, our appreciation for children greatly increased! We still remember the waves of love when our own three sons were born, but grandparenting is, in some ways, more exciting, because we can give, impart, play and have teachable moments, without the dread of disciplining. That is the role of the parents. They’ll get their reward someday, too, which is what we call grandparenting.
But back to the spiritual lessons Jesus taught about how we must be, in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. We must simply be humble as a child. The Psalmist prayed, “Create in me a clean heart. And renew a right spirit within me.”
God loves the pure in heart. He rewards the pure in heart. He IS purity in all its white as snow aspects. Humility includes treating others better than yourself. Including babies in the womb.
Babies remind me of pure humility, white as snow. Untainted yet, by evil, infants have a sweetness all their own. The safest place for these precious pre-born children to grow, should be the womb; surrounded by the protective fluid God designed for their safety.
It is cruel, mean, selfish and horribly hateful to snuff out babies’ lives before they’ve had a chance at life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness outside the womb. And yet…
Women and men are being lied to. And for a lot of reasons, they believe the lies.
We know the enemy of our soul desires to steal, kill and destroy. He has killed over 60 million unborn babies, legally in the country since 1973. He is still very effective at deceiving people into thinking it’s okay, and even good to kill innocent babies while they grow in the womb. Some mothers even write “love” notes to their babies; hanging them on walls of abortion mills, where little ones are brutally ripped apart, burned and murdered. Talk about deception!
Still, God sent Jesus here to save that which was lost.
"By abortion the Mother does not learn to love, but kills her own child to solve her problems. And, by abortion, that father is told that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world. The father is likely to put other women to the same trouble. So abortion leads to more abortion." ― Mother Teresa
“God made the world for the delight of human beings-- if we could see His goodness everywhere, His concern for us, His awareness of our needs: the phone call we've waited for, the ride we are offered, the letter in the mail, just the little things He does for us throughout the day. As we remember and notice His love for us, we just begin to fall in love with Him because He is so busy with us -- you just can't resist Him. I believe there's no such thing as luck in life, it's God's love, it's His.”― Mother Teresa
The greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion, which is war against the child. The mother doesn't learn to love, but kills to solve her own problems. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want." ― Mother Teresa
